Doing a little more flying recently, I have received many compliments from people watching the takeoff, as well as from the instructor who did my BFR with me last week who kept looking at my airspeed gauge--he couldn't believe the deck angle at 80 knots at takeoff.

The only consistent criticisms I get are about the exhausts and the air filter, which look kind of un-aerodynamic. Everyone wants to suggest fairings or covers of some sort, which might add a few knots but mainly would just look nicer. I have responded that STCs are tough to get as it is without adding extra items for the FAA to criticize, but I would also ask Jim to put this high on the wish list for the future.
