...developed a nose shimmy, not much improved after rebuilding the damper, so.....

...ordered the
Nose Landing Gear Assembly Scissor Bushing and Bolt Kit from General Aviation Inc. (Mentor, Ohio) for the Commander.  It came with all the necessary parts, and a cute, helpful diagram with the pertinent parts highlighted in yellow.

....problem fixed....no more shimmy.
