As I search for that "perfect plane", one option I am back to is purchasing an ugly duckling and doing a Fox network "The Swan" conversion.
Can you guys give me an idea of:
1) Ball park figures for new exteriors and/or interiors
2) Shops accessible from Indiana that could do the work.
Its my understanding (from reading what I could find around here) that paint jobs run around $7K to $10K. Interiors are about the same range. That sound about right?
If I wanted the nice grey leather seats that are so popular, I assume those are replacements and not re-upholstered seats. How much of a refurbishment is total replacement, and how much is sprucing up existing parts? I'm trying to figure out if it is feasible to go with one of the more, shall we say, "nice personality" 112s on the market.
